(briefly): In April 1999 I began my
tenure with Emblaze as their head webmaster. I was overseeing the over operation,
design, and development of new Emblaze sites. To accomplish my goals I had a
technical team in the US (Woodland Hill, CA) and a design team in the Emblaze
Israel office (Tel Aviv, Israel). Over the first year I made several trips to
Israel to coordinate design efforts. The site was very successful. Shortly after
coming on board with Emblaze I also began to get involved with WebRadio.com, a
subsidiary company of Emblaze, and was shortly after given the duties of developing
this music portal as well. By the beginning of 2000 I was devoted completely to
the WebRadio.com portal, overseeing all aspects of it's design, maintenance,
operations and development. For this task I hired a web development and design
team in the Woodland Hills office. While I was managing the development of WebRadio.com
the user base grew from 8000 unique users a month to a user base of over 700,000
and 4.1 billion hits per month. Also, I took the site from a group of static pages
to being completely database driven by the end of my employment with WebRadio.com.
Other projects that I oversaw included development of a desktop application for the
WebRadio portal, real time site reporting for affiliate stations, remote configuration
of client accounts, ad insertion technology (allowing an ad to be inserted into a
stream of audio synchronized with on air ads), bumper ad insertion technology, targeted
ad insertion, an ASP (Application Service Provider) model of the WebRadio portal and
many more. All projects and all budgets came in on time and below budget. When WebRadio
closed its door in September of 2001 (lack of sales revenues due to a weak streaming
market) I continued to work for Emblaze. Over the last few months I have developed
applications for rapid deployment of secure wireless portals for Palmtop Personal
Computers (PPC) and rapid deploy software for video messaging over PPC devices. Emblaze
then cut their development budget and I was laid off in November of 2001. I still consult
for Emblaze on a per issue basis. Please ask about letters of recommendation from Emblaze. |

My first task at STC was to set design and web standards. From there
I was manager for the entire web and near the end of my stay at STC, the
intranet as well. Aside from setting web standards I also created collateral
pieces, ad pieces, and conference brochures. On the hardware side, I was able
to add hardware to the web as needed and install all software to configure the
webs. Also, the STC web site was set up for multi-lingual/international use
(recently implemented). In the case of the STC Web, I did all the programming.
(The site has since been changed, though all the navigation and multi-lingual
site layout is as I originally set up) See www.stc.com for an example of the
navigation and site layout. |

DPSC is a banking software company. During my time with them I
set up a new web site for them to allow banks to update the subscription
software quickly and easily. Along with that was banking industry information
and links and an extensive online help system and bug reporting system. Also,
as part of the advanced work I was doing with them was setting up secure online
report to the FDIC and related government agencies. Additional planning went
into providing banks with online services for their customers (which as been
implement since I left.) I also wrote several product documents and manuals
for their software. DPSC's web site is at www.dpscsoftware.com . The site is
almost as I left it. |
